This is a test flash news post to demonstrate the functionality

Flash news posts must have ‘Flash News’ selected as a category. There are three options for the placement of the flash news, which are selected using category labels:

1. post on country page
2. post on country page as archived news story
3. post on homepage

Flash news stories must also have the relevant country selected as a category to appear on the country page.

On the country pages the flash news stories appear within the Flash News ‘Lazy Block’. This block must be in place and labelled with the relevant country or the flash news stories will not appear.

Flash news stories can have an optional featured image. This should be sized at 150 x 150 pixels

Flash news stories appear with a short excerpt of the content of the story which can be expanded by clicking on ‘more’. The excerpt is generated automatically but can be set by the user through the ‘excerpt’ feature on the post page.

The more button automatically links to the full post, but you can also direct the link to a different place (e.g. a pdf file) using the ‘MoreURL” custom field.
